This panel discussion features three outstanding past recipients of sub-awards from the NNLM Region 2. The session will showcase how funding for outreach, professional development, and exhibits from the Network of the National Library of Medicine has enabled individuals and organizations to create a measurable impact in their communities.

The panelists include:

  1. Kelsa Bartley, also a recipient of the Professional Development Award, will reflect on her experience applying for and utilizing NNLM funding to complete the Sunshine State Library Leadership Institute and how it has shaped her leadership journey.
  2. Erick Lemon, recipient of the Outreach Award, will discuss how he used the award to enhance access to health information for the Parents and Guardians Association of the Coastal Center.
  3. Dr. Damien Roland, recipient of the Professional Development Award, will share how NNLM funding has supported his career growth by allowing him to attend a professional conference.

In addition to the panel discussion, the moderator will provide an overview of the Exhibit Awards, highlighting the innovative and effective ways that NNLM members have used this award to promote health information and engage with their communities at professional events and public gatherings.
