Elements of a Library Disaster Plan LIMITED
Friday April 18, 2025 9:45am - 10:45am EDT
Library systems are experiencing increasingly frequent intense severe weather emergencies, creating an opportunity to examine existing plans and practices. Our ongoing studies of public libraries and disasters throughout Florida, including surveys, document analysis, and public librarian interviews, surfaced disaster plan elements for resilient library services and supports. In this session, participants will explore the elements that make up an exemplary disaster plan and assess how those elements can improve library disaster planning, response, and recovery.
